Ameer Abdullah left in the third quarter last Sunday in the team’s win over the New Orleans Saints. He had just had the best game of his career, and first ever 100-yard rushing performance, running for 115 yards on the ground with another 32 yards through the air.
Ameer Abdullah injury update
Abdullah missed the entire week of practices with a foot injury and has officially been ruled OUT for the game.
Raiders RB depth chart
Alexander Mattison should get the start at running back with Abdullah out. But the team would also like to see a couple rookies get more snaps, including undrafted Chris Collier.
“Hopefully this week we can get to see him early,” Antonio Pierce said of Collier. “We’d like to see him and Dylan [Laube] get some carries this week. So, he’s been really good in practice, kind of amped up his reps in practice as well, getting him ready to play in the game.”
