The Las Vegas Raiders shared some great news on Monday afternoon, with the team revealing that 2023 second-round pick and tight end Michael Mayer had rejoined the team following an extended absence. The exact details behind Mayer's absence remain unclear, but we do know it was for a personal matter and had nothing to do with frustration over his diminished role in the wake of the team drafting star tight end Brock Bowers. Mayer, who is on the non-football illness list, was designated to return on Tuesday and now has 21 days to be activated. Head coach Antonio Pierce touched on the return of his tight end on Wednesday and noted that Mayer actually rejoined the Raiders during the bye week last week.
