Raiders coach Antonio Pierce was impressed with Bo Nix going into the 2024 NFL Draft, praised the rookie quarterback ahead of his team's first game against him and has only gotten more complimentary heading into the rematch. Pierce needed one word to describe his feelings on the Denver Broncos' rookie quarterback — “winner,” giving the 24 year old out of the University of Oregon much credit for the AFC West divisional rival's recent uptick. The Broncos (6-5) currently sit in the final playoff spot in the AFC standings largely because of the way Nix has improved starting in a Week 5 win over the Raiders (2-8).
