The Oakland Athletics' planned move to Las Vegas reportedly could fall through, with the franchise seemingly behind schedule on reaching an agreement with state legislators for the funding to build a new stadium, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan. Passan quote-tweeted the Nevada Independent's article reporting that the state's Assembly speaker, Steve Yeager (D-Las Vegas), said that Legislature could "run out of time" to reach a potential deal if it's not completed within a "week or so." Last month, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the A's had purchased land near the Las Vegas strip ahead of an impending relocation.
