Las Vegas could be poised to land an MLS franchise and the potential 30th team in the league could have ties to the Premier League in England, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Friday. Aston Villa FC co-owners Wes Edens and Naseef Sawiris have entered into exclusive negotiations for a franchise with MLS, according to the report. The duo has owned Aston Villa since 2018, with the club earning promotion into the Premier League for the 2019-20 season.
